Your details and this website

This site belongs to Obsidian, a rock covers band based in Bristol. This page explains what happens to the details you send us, in plain English. Questions go to obsidiancoversband@gmail.com.

What we collect

Only what you type into the booking form: your name, email address, and if you add them, your phone number, company, type of event, event date and message. We also note which page you sent it from.

To stop spam, we store a scrambled code made from your internet address with your enquiry. The scrambling changes every day and the code can’t be turned back into the address.

Why, and who sees it

We use your details to reply about your booking and nothing else. We don’t sell them, share them with anyone outside the band, or add you to any mailing list.

Your enquiry is emailed to the band and stored in our booking database so it can’t get lost. The site is hosted by Vercel, the database is run by Neon in London, and the emails go through Google’s Gmail.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry while we’re talking to you about the booking and for as long as we need it afterwards for the gig itself. Ask us at any time and we’ll delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email obsidiancoversband@gmail.com and we’ll sort it out. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie is a sign-in cookie for band members using the admin pages.

We count how many times each page is viewed each day, so the band can see if the site is being used. The count is just a number per page per day: no cookie, no internet address, nothing about you.
